If your home has good bones but no longer reflects how you live today, thoughtful planning can help it evolve without starting over.

"Our home finally feels like it matches this stage of life. Hosting is easier, the flow makes sense, and everything feels updated without losing the character we loved. "

The CLient

After fifteen years in the home, this family found themselves in a new season of life. With one son already in college and another not far behind, the way they used their space had shifted. During the pandemic, they added a pool, turning their home into a gathering place for friends and family. The interior, however, hadn’t evolved to match how they now lived and hosted.

The first floor was reimagined to support entertaining and everyday ease. A dated bat wing island was replaced with an oversized island designed for hosting, conversation, and flow. Heavy 90s-era columns were removed to open sightlines and create a more cohesive connection across the main living spaces.

The result is a first floor that feels lighter, more intentional, and aligned with the life they’re living now. A home that honors its history while confidently stepping into what’s next.
